Guardians invite RHP Tyler Zuber to Major League camp

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Guardians today announced the following addition to their 2024 Major League Spring Training camp roster:

Signed free agent RHP Tyler Zuber to a Minor League contract with a non-roster invitation to Major League camp.

Zuber, 28, has spent most of his seven-year professional career in the Kansas City Royals organization following his sixth-round selection in the 2017 MLB Draft out of Arkansas State. He quickly rose through the Royals system, posting a Minor League ERA of 2.96 (44 ER, 133.2 IP) for KC before debuting in 2020, spending the entire 60-game season at the Major League level. He split the 2021season between Kansas City and AAA Omaha before missing the 2022 campaign due to right shoulder surgery. He was claimed off waivers by Arizona in November 2022 and made 16 outings for Triple-A Reno in 2023 prior to his release in July.
