The Dutch Gaming Authority imposes a binding designation of hosting provider DigitalOcean. With this designation, the provider is ordered to stop and stop its services to illegal affiliate websites. Through these websites, Dutch players are redirected to websites of illegal gambling providers. – That’s forbidden. Because the identity of the owners of the affiliates cannot be traced, the designation is imposed on the hosting provider because it makes the websites available in the Netherlands.

The websites casino zonderregistratie.net and nieuw-casinos.net advertise illegal gambling offer. Offering games of chance without the right license is prohibited in the Netherlands, as is promoting illegal gambling. To counter illegal offers, the Ksa takes various measures, for example the erecting of barriers at payment providers or internet providers. By ensuring that these intermediaries no longer offer their services to illegal providers, illegal supply is made more difficult or possibly even stopped altogether. The Ksa has conducted extensive research into the promotion of affiliates over the past two years.

DigitalOcean must stopp the service to the illegal affiliates within four weeks of sending the designation. If this is not the case, the Ksa can impose a follow-up sanction, for example a charge-of-fuck and/or a fine.
