The Dutch Gaming Authority (Ksa) has imposed a penalty on FBC BV for offering illegal games of chance on the website freebitco.in. Offering such games without the necessary permit is prohibited in the Netherlands. The penalty calls for FBC BV to immediately cease the illegal activities. If they fail to comply, a fine of €280,000 per week, up to a maximum of €840,000, will be imposed.

Investigations revealed that the site allowed users to create player accounts, make deposits, and participate in illegal gambling. No measures were in place to prevent participation from the Netherlands.

The Netherlands has a regulated gambling market to protect players better. Therefore, the Ksa takes stringent action against illegal offerings. Often, an order with a penalty quickly halts illegal activities. Providers can also be fined for the duration of the illegal offerings.
