ARLINGTON, TEXAS – The United Football League announced today that DC Defenders offensive tackle Yasir Durant has officially signed with the NFL’s New England Patriots.
Durant, a 2025 All-UFL selection, was a cornerstone of the Defenders’ offensive line, which allowed a league-low 10 sacks en route to capturing the UFL Championship.
The 27-year-old Missouri alum began his professional career in 2020 with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent, appearing in 11 games his rookie year. He was traded to the Patriots in 2021 and saw action in seven contests. Following his release by New England in 2022, Durant spent time with the New Orleans Saints (2022) and Denver Broncos (2023), before signing with DC ahead of the 2024 UFL season.
Should Durant return to the UFL in the future, the Defenders will retain his playing rights.
