The Arizona Diamondbacks made the following roster moves:

Selected OF Corbin Carroll (No. 7) from Triple-A Reno.

  • The recently turned 22-year-old (August 21) will be making his Major League debut.
  • Rated as Major League Baseball’s No. 1 prospect by The Athletic and ESPN.com, No. 3 by MLB Pipeline and No. 5 by Baseball America.
  • Among full-season Minor Leaguers, ranked fifth in OPS (1.026) and eighth in slugging (.604).
  • Hit .303 (108-for-356)/1.026 OPS with 22 doubles, 8 triples, 23 home runs, 61 RBI, 65 walks and 31 stolen bases in 91 games this season between Double-A Amarillo and Triple-A Reno.
  • Following his promotion to the Aces on July 9, ranked among Pacific Coast League leaders in stolen bases (4th, 11), doubles (T-5th, 11), OBP (7th, .408), walks (7th, 24), extra-base hits (T-7th, 18) and OPS (9th, .943).
  • Over parts of 3 Minor League seasons, has played in 142 Minor League games and hit .310 (167-for-539)/1.014 OPS with 32 doubles, 17 triples, 28 homers, 87 RBI, 102 walks and 52 stolen bases…(42 G in 2019, 0 G in ’20, 7 G in ’21 due to injury and 93 G in ‘22).
  • Participated in the 2022 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game in Los Angeles.
  • Selected by the D-backs in the first round (16th overall) of the 2019 draft out of Lakeside School in Seattle, Wash.
