CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Guardians have announced the signing of free agent left-handed pitcher Kolby Allard to a Minor League contract, including a non-roster invitation to Major League camp.

Allard, 27, spent the 2024 season with the Philadelphia Phillies organization, where he posted a 2-0 record and a 5.00 ERA in 7 games (4 starts) for the Phillies, covering 27.0 innings pitched. Notably, his 2024 debut came against the Guardians on July 28 at Citizens Bank Park. Additionally, Allard was part of the Phillies’ NLDS roster and made appearances in 23 games (17 starts) across AAA Lehigh Valley and AA Reading.
Originally drafted by the Atlanta Braves as the 14th overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft out of San Clemente High School (CA), Allard made his MLB debut with the Braves in 2018. He was traded to the Texas Rangers at the 2019 trade deadline, spending parts of four seasons with the Rangers from 2019 to 2022.
