White, 25, was designated for assignment by the Yankees on February 11, shortly after being claimed off waivers from Cincinnati on February 5. Prior to that, he was acquired by the Reds from Texas on January 6 in exchange for cash considerations and designated for assignment on January 29.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 200 pounds, White spent the majority of the 2024 season with Class AAA Round Rock in the Rangers organization. Over 29 games (14 starts), he posted a 2-8 record with a 5.64 ERA (62 ER/99.0 IP). He also made his MLB debut, appearing in three major league games with Texas and allowing eight runs in 3.0 innings.

Throughout his minor league career (2021-24), White has accumulated a 19-16 record with a 4.37 ERA (157 ER/323.1 IP) and 327 strikeouts in 78 games (61 starts). He was selected by Texas in the second round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft.

Ky Bush, 25, underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery on February 12.

Following these roster moves, the White Sox 40-man roster remains at its maximum capacity of 40 players.
