Notes: Louisville plays in prime time for the second consecutive Friday night as it welcomes the Seminoles for an ACC Atlantic Division battle • The Cardinals have won the last two meetings between the schools, including last season’s 31-23 decision in Tallahassee • QB Malik Cunningham had four first-half touchdowns — two passing and two rushing — and Louisville held off Florida State’s second-half rally after grabbing a 31-7 lead in the game’s first 28 minutes • FSU is 6-3 versus the Cardinals in games played in Louisville • The teams are 4-4 in ACC play • Louisville won the series opener in Tallahassee in 1952 by a score of 41-14 • The Seminoles won the next 12 meetings before the Cardinals broke through with a 26-20 overtime win at home in 2002 • Friday night’s game is the second of three straight for the Cardinals versus Florida schools • Louisville defeated UCF on the road last Friday night and will play host to South Florida on Sept. 24.
