NEW YORK – Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for high-sticking Florida Panthers forward Noel Acciari during Game 3 of the teams’ First Round series in Washington on Saturday, May 7, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 16:03 of the first period. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
