Canadiens’ Paquette Suspended Two Games for Boarding

NEW YORK – Montreal Canadiens forward Cedric Paquette has been suspended for two games, without pay, for boarding Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras during NHL Game No. 129 in Anaheim on Sunday, Oct. 31, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 10:14 of the first period. Paquette was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding.

 

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Paquette will forfeit $9,500.00. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
