Send outfielder Reminton Batista to Miami
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired catcher Payton Henry from the Miami Marlins in exchange for outfielder Reminton Batista. The announcement was made by Senior Vice President and General Manager Matt Arnold.

Henry, 25, played parts of the past two seasons in the majors with the Marlins, appearing in 5 games in 2021 and 15 games in 2022. He batted .250 with 3 HR and 13 RBI in 29 games between Triple-A Jacksonville (21g), Class-A Jupiter (3g) and Rookie FCL Marlins (5g).
Originally selected by Milwaukee in the sixth round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft, Henry spent 2016-21 in the Brewers organization. He earned All-Star selections in the Midwest League with Low-A Wisconsin in 2018 and in the Carolina League with High-A Carolina in 2019. The Brewers traded Henry to the Marlins in exchange for right-hander John Curtiss on July 31, 2021.
Batista, 17, batted .252 with 1 HR and 13 RBI in 46 games with DSL Brewers 2 in his first professional season in 2022. He signed with the Brewers as a non-drafted free agent out of the Dominican Republic in January of 2022.
