The Astros have placed OF Michael Brantley on the 10-day Injured List due to tightness in his right hamstring. His IL stint is retroactive to May 25. Additionally, the Astros have recalled IF Robel Garcia from Triple A Sugar Land. Garcia will be with the Major League club for tonight’s 7:10 p.m. game vs. the San Diego Padres at Minute Maid Park.
Earlier today, the Astros activated LHP Framber Valdez from the 10-day IL. He takes the roster spot of LHP Kent Emanuel, who was placed on the 10-day IL with left elbow soreness (retro to May 26).
