Diego Pacheco is all set to dazzle the boxing scene as he squares off against Marcelo Coceres for the WBO International and USWBC Super-Middleweight titles. The action-packed clash is scheduled for November 18, at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.
Pacheco, a fiery boxing sensation with an undefeated streak (19-0, with 16 KOs), continues to soar high in his burgeoning boxing journey. His recent outing in July was nothing short of spectacular, where he showcased his talent halting the formidable Manuel Gallegos in Monterrey, Mexico. A ruthless body shot sent Gallegos to the canvas in the fourth round, making Pacheco the first ever to stop the Mexican powerhouse.
Pacheco’s rise was further cemented when he dominated Jack Cullen in Liverpool, England, earlier in April. Now, the 23-year-old South LA native gets a chance to headline closer to home, right in the vicinity of the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, where he has deep-rooted memories of growing up.
On this exciting occasion, an ecstatic Pacheco shared, “Headlining in my hometown on November 18 at the YouTube Theater is something I’ve eagerly waited for. I’m geared up to deliver a performance that’ll resonate with my fans and make a resounding statement.”
However, Pacheco’s journey to glory won’t be a cakewalk. Awaiting him in the opposite corner is the seasoned Argentine boxer, Marcelo Coceres, boasting a record of 32-5-1 with 18 KOs. Coceres, who once squared off against WBO champ Billy Joe Saunders in 2019, believes he possesses the experience and skill to halt Pacheco’s rising tide.
With fire in his eyes, Coceres declared, “This is a warrior’s game. While I respect Pacheco and acknowledge his talent, I firmly believe this is my time. He may be young and promising, but I’ve weathered storms and faced fierce battles. It’s one thing to be a promising talent but facing adversity in the ring is a whole different ball game. On November 18, I’ll put it all on the line. It’s do or die for me.”
The stage is set. Two fighters, one a young prodigy and the other a seasoned warrior, are set to collide in what promises to be a great night of boxing.
