Boston, MA – The Boston Red Sox have selected right-handed pitcher Brian Van Belle to the Major League roster from Triple-A Worcester. Van Belle, who will wear No. 77, replaces right-hander Robert Stock, who has been designated for assignment.

Brian Van Belle’s Season Performance

Van Belle, 28, has been a standout for Worcester, posting a 5-1 record with a 2.29 ERA (13 ER/51.0 IP), 1.06 WHIP, and 41 strikeouts across 12 appearances (eight starts). He has won each of his last five outings (four starts), recording a 1.55 ERA (5 ER/29.0 IP) and 0.86 WHIP in that span.

Originally signed by Boston as a non-drafted free agent in June 2020, the Florida native has compiled a 37-19 record with a 4.41 ERA (246 ER/502.1 IP) in 115 career minor league games (84 starts), all within the Red Sox organization (2021-25).
