Boston, MA – The Boston Fleet continue bolstering their offensive core, announcing the signings of forwards Chloé Aurard and Liz Schepers to Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Standard Player Agreements.

  • Aurard, who played the last two seasons with the New York Sirens, joins on a one-year contract for 2025–26.
  • Schepers, a back-to-back Walter Cup champion with the Minnesota Frost, has signed a two-year deal through 2026–27.

Chloé Aurard — 1-Year Standard Player Agreement

Aurard, a native of Villard-de-Lans, France, appeared in 27 games for New York last season, tallying two goals and two assists. The 21st overall pick in the inaugural PWHL Draft made history in the league’s first game, recording two assists in her debut on January 1, 2024. Over two seasons, the 26-year-old has compiled 12 career points (3G, 9A) in 48 games.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Chloé back to Boston,” said Fleet General Manager Danielle Marmer. “She brings relentless speed and forechecking pressure, with a gritty, competitive edge that’s hard to miss. Her versatility and hockey IQ make her a valuable addition to our lineup.”

A standout at Northeastern University, Aurard played five NCAA seasons, finishing fourth all-time in program scoring with 204 points (89G, 115A) alongside Fleet teammate Alina Müller. She’s also represented France at seven IIHF Women’s World Championships, including two top division appearances. At just 14 years old, she ranked second in scoring in the French women’s league with 17 goals and 24 points in 11 games.

“Coming back to Boston feels like coming home,” said Aurard. “This city embraced me during my time at Northeastern, and I’m proud to represent it again in the PWHL.”

Liz Schepers — 2-Year Standard Player Agreement

Schepers, from Mound, Minnesota, arrives with clutch credentials, having scored the decisive goal in both the 2024 and 2025 Walter Cup clinching games for Minnesota. During the 2024–25 season, she registered six points (2G, 4A) in 27 regular-season games, and added three points (2G, 1A) across eight playoff contests.

Drafted 73rd overall (13th round) in the PWHL’s inaugural draft, Schepers posted three assists in 19 games during her rookie year and logged five playoff points (1G, 4A).

“Liz thrives in the biggest moments,” said Marmer. “She’s smart, disciplined, and brings a consistent work ethic. Her versatility will be a tremendous asset in every phase of our game.”

Schepers began her pro career in 2022–23 with the PHF’s Minnesota Whitecaps, notching 14 points (6G, 8A) in 22 games. At Ohio State University, she won a National Championship in 2022 and holds the Buckeyes’ single-season record for game-winning goals (6). She graduated ranked sixth in program history with 137 points (63G, 74A).

“Joining the Fleet is an exciting new chapter,” Schepers said. “Boston’s sports culture is incredible, and I’m honored to be part of a team with such a strong identity. I’m ready to contribute in any way I can.”

Aurard and Schepers join a Fleet roster with 10 returning players already signed for the 2025–26 season, including forwards Jill Saulnier, Theresa Schafzahl, and Susanna Tapani, who re-signed June 17.
