The Toronto Blue Jays have signed the 20th overall pick of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, SS Arjun Nimmala.
Nimmala, 17, spent the past four seasons playing at Strawberry Crest High School in Dover, FL. The 6-1, 170 lb. native of Tampa, FL, finished the 2023 season with a 1.477 OPS across 25 games, with 35 hits and 29 RBI. The right-handed shortstop hit .382 with 22 doubles, three triples, and nine home runs across 77 career games at the high school level.
