All six agree to one-year deals, avoiding arbitration
HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Astros have avoided arbitration and have agreed to terms on one-year contracts with IF/OF Mauricio Dubón, RHP Phil Maton, RHP Ryne Stanek, LHP Blake Taylor, RHP José Urquidy and LHP Framber Valdez. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
The deadline for clubs and arbitration-eligible players to exchange filing numbers was last night. The Astros did not agree to terms for the 2023 season with RHP Cristian Javier and OF Kyle Tucker. Both players will have their 2023 salary determined at a later date.
