OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s traded outfielder Cal Stevenson to the San Francisco Giants for cash considerations, the club announced today.
Stevenson was acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays with Christian Fernandez on July 9, 2022 for Christian Bethancourt. He hit .167 with three doubles, one RBI, one stolen base, and eight walks in 23 games in 2022 for the A’s. Stevenson is hitting .348 with two doubles, two RBI, and six walks in seven games for Las Vegas this season. Born in Fremont and a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Stevenson attended Chabot JC and the University of Arizona before being selected by Toronto in the 10th round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft.
