OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland Athletics reinstated right-handed pitcher Adam Oller from the injured list and placed right-handed pitcher Collin Wiles on the 15-day IL with a strained right shoulder, the club announced today.
Oller was placed on the IL on Sept. 6 retroactive to Sept. 4 with right rib costochondritis and did not have a rehab assignment. He is 2-7 with a 6.01 ERA in 18 games, including 13 starts, with the A’s. The 27-year-old right-hander is 2-7 with a 6.37 ERA and .931 opponents OPS in 13 starts and 0-0 with a 3.24 ERA and .713 OPS in five relief appearances. Oller made all of his relief appearances during his third stint from June 9-29.
Wiles was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Sept. 11 and had no decisions, a 4.66 ERA and .815 opponents OPS in four relief appearances in his Major League debut. He went 9-11 with a 5.40 ERA in 26 starts for the Aviators.
