OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s recalled outfielder Seth Brown from Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today.
Brown joins the A’s for the second time this year after batting .199 with 12 home runs and 30 RBI in 79 games during his first stint from April 6 to July 31. He went 4-for-14 (.286) with a double, triple and RBI in three games with the Aviators following his Aug. 1 option. Brown is tied for fifth among American League rookies in home runs. He has made 48 of his 49 starts this year against right-handed pitchers and is tied for the lead among AL pinch hitters in plate appearances (19).
