OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland Athletics recalled left-handed pitcher Zach Logue from Triple-A Las Vegas and optioned left-handed pitcher Sam Selman to Las Vegas, the club announced today.
Logue joins the A’s for the fourth time this year and is 2-4 with a 5.47 ERA in six games, five starts, in his Major League debut. He had two losses in two starts during his most recent stint from May 20-28, allowing 11 runs on 13 hits and five walks in 7.0 innings. The 26-year-old left-hander combined for a 2-2 record and a 2.04 ERA in four games, including three starts, over his first two stints. Logue was 3-1 with a 5.22 ERA and 1.017 OPS in 10 starts with Las Vegas, including 3-1 with a 5.03 ERA and 1.016 OPS in six starts following his May 29 option from Oakland.
Selman was recalled from Las Vegas June 26 for his third stint with the A’s this year and allowed two runs in 4.0 innings over three relief appearances. He has a 4.91 ERA and .763 opponents OPS in nine relief appearances overall with Oakland and is also 1-0 with four saves, a 1.96 ERA and .619 OPS in 15 relief appearances with the Aviators.
