A’s Recall LHP Harris from Las Vegas; Option RHP Martínez to Las Vegas

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s recalled left-handed pitcher Hogan Harris from Triple-A Las Vegas and optioned right-handed pitcher Adrián Martínez to Las Vegas, the club announced today.

Harris joins the A’s for the second time this year.  He was recalled for the first time on April 14, made his Major League debut that day in relief against the Mets (0.1 ip, 1 h, 6 r, 6 er, 5 bb, 0 so) and was optioned back to Las Vegas the next day.  The 26-year-old left-hander is 0-1 with a 3.77 ERA and .699 opponents OPS in eight starts with the Aviators, including 0-0 with a 1.83 ERA and .533 opponents OPS in four starts in May. 

Martínez was reinstated from the 15-day injured list May 15 and compiled a 2.84 ERA in five relief appearances since his return.  He 0-0 with a 5.70 ERA and .751 opponents OPS in 11 relief appearances overall with Oakland.
