LHP Anthony Gose experienced a recurrence of left elbow discomfort last week while ramping up his throwing intensity. He was re-examined by Team Physician Dr. Mark Schickendantz along with an additional opinion with Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, TX on Monday.
Imaging and examinations with both physicians confirmed an ulnar collateral ligament injury.
Anthony underwent ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction Wednesday in Arlington, TX, performed by Dr. Meister.
Although no specific time frame has been established, he is projected to miss between 12-18 months of game activity.
