The Big 12 has four league games this week as Oklahoma and Texas Tech are the final two teams to have a bye.
The Big 12 has three teams in the top 14 of the national polls with No. 4/4 Oklahoma, No. 11/11 Oklahoma State and No. 14/13 Baylor. Iowa State received votes.
Oklahoma is among just six teams that remain undefeated and the only with nine wins. The Sooners’ 17-game win streak leads the nation.
The Big 12 finished the regular season with a .800 (24-6) win percentage in non-conference outings, good for second among FBS leagues. Four of the six losses were to other autonomy leagues and three were to teams currently ranked.
Among FBS leagues, the Big 12 is first in scoring (32.0), rushing yards per game (177.5), pass completion percentage (65.4), passer rating (150.6) and yards per play (7.5) in addition to having the second-toughest strength of schedule.
Sixty percent of Big 12 offenses average over 31 points a game to rank in the nation’s top 43: 6. Oklahoma (42.9), 11. Texas (39.4), 17. Baylor (37.4), 35. Texas Tech (32.8), 41. Iowa State (32.1) and 43. TCU (31.5).
Three Big 12 teams are holding opponents to less than 20 points a game to rank among the FBS top 23: 14. Oklahoma State (18.0), 22. Baylor (19.4) and 23. Iowa State (19.6).
Sixty percent of Big 12 defenses rank in the NCAA top 40 in rushing defense, holding opponents to fewer than 131 yards a game: 9.

Abram Smith is the first Baylor RB with five-or-more 100-yard games in a season since Shock Linwood had six in 2015.
Iowa State TE Charlie Kolar extended his streak of consecutive games with a catch to 31, the eighth-best active streak in the nation and the third-best in school history.
WR Kwamie Lassiter II moved into sole possession of ninth in Kansas history with 119 career catches.
DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah tied K-State’s record of four sacks in a game. Uzomah has 10 sacks on the season which ranks first in the FBS.
QB Caleb Williams tied Kyler Murray and Landry Jones for the second-most touchdown passes in a game in school history with six against TTU.
Oklahoma State’s defense has held an opponent to under 100 yards of offense in a half six times this season.
TCU recorded its first safety since 2018 in the game at K-State. Cameron Dicker has become Texas’ all-time leader in points scored by a kicker with 362.
Texas Tech held its opponent under 100 yards rushing for the sixth game this season. It’s the most times in a single season dating back to 2000.
West Virginia earned its 50th all-time victory over a ranked opponent defeating No. 22 Iowa State, while Mountaineer coach Neal Brown earned his 50th career victory as a head coach.
The 2021 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship is scheduled for Saturday, December 4 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Over the summer, the Big 12 and Dallas Cowboys announced a two-year extension that will keep the Championship game at AT&T Stadium through the 2023 season.
