The Devils open their third back-to-back set, and first road trip for the 2023-24 campaign (4 games). Jersey’s team tied a franchise record 28 road wins (28-9-4) last season. Prior to 2023-24, the team won 28 road games (28-10-3) in 1998-99. Jersey’s team did not suffer a shutout in 2022-23, and the last time the team was shutout was on Apr. 24, 2022, in a 3-0 loss to Detroit at the Rock. The 82 games played last season marked the longest stretch in franchise history for a single season that the team didn’t suffer a shutout. Prior to 2022-23, the longest stretch in a single season that the Devils did not suffer a shutout was 80 games, which were played from Oct. 9, 1987, to Apr. 3, 1988. The team’s longest stretch in franchise history over multiple seasons without experiencing a shutout against were 111 games played from Jan. 5, 1999, to Feb. 29, 2000. The team enters Thursday’s contest vs Minnesota with 93 consecutive regular-season games without being shut out, which is the fourth-longest stretch in franchise history:

New Jersey won a season-high 38 of 60 face-offs (63%) on Tue., Oct. 24th vs Montreal. The last time that the team won 38, or more, face-offs in a game was Mar. 25, 2023, vs Ottawa (39/68, 57.4%).
