LEADING OFF: Today, the Angels play the eighth (3-4) of nine games on a road trip against the New York Mets (2-1), Philadelphia Phillies (1-2) and Oakland A’s (0-1; Sept. 1-3)…Halos went 1-5 on last homestand against Tampa Bay (1-2) and Cincinnati (0-3)…Halos went 2-4 on last road trip against Houston (1-2) and Texas (1-2).
SCHANUEL’S STREAKS: Nolan Schanuel has reached base safely in each of his first 11 MLB games…He set a franchise record with a 10-game hit streak to begin his MLB career (see list below), before having the streak snapped last night.
