MLS Preview: Los Angeles Galaxy (5-9-7) at Vancouver Whitecaps FC (7-7-7)

The last 12 meetings between the Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Los Angeles Galaxy have been split, with each side winning five times and drawing twice, including a 1-1 draw at the Los Angeles Galaxy on March 18. the Vancouver Whitecaps FC have lost only one of the last five meetings (W2 D2).

Vite is the second player in MLS history to score two goals in the first 30 seconds of an MLS match in their career (Yordy Reyna).

Riqui Puig has delivered both a goal and an assist in each of the Los Angeles Galaxy’s last two matches, becoming the first Los Angeles Galaxy player to do so in consecutive games since Zlatan Ibrahimovic did so in three straight games in September 2019. Puig is one of the three MLS players with such a streak this season (Carles Gil, Caleb Wiley).
