BURNES AT A GLANCE: Corbin Burnes, 28, will be making his 19th start of the season and third against the Reds…..Burnes last started last Friday vs. Cincinnati and earned a 7-3 win (6ip, 3h, 2r, 2er, 4bb, 6k, 1hr, 90 pitches)…..the team is 10-8 in his starts…..he has made 11 quality starts…..opponents are batting .211 (83-for-394, 14hr)…..Burnes was selected by Milwaukee in the fourth round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft out of St. Mary’s (CA) College…..he is under club control through 2024.

DRAFTED
- With the seventh pick of the first round of the 2023 first-year player draft, the Reds selected out of Wake Forest University junior RHP Rhett Lowder (6-2, 197).
- Lowder, 21, is only the second pitcher ever to win consecutive ACC Pitcher of the Year awards…this spring he led all NCAA Division I pitchers with 15 wins while ranking fourth in both ERA (1.87) and strikeouts (143)…helped lead Wake Forest to its first College World Series since 1955.
