WNBA Preview: Connecticut Sun (14-5) at Chicago Sky (8-11)

The Connecticut Sun seek their third straight victory on Wednesday afternoon when they visit the Chicago Sky.

DeWanna Bonner carried the Sun (14-5) to victory against the Washington Mystics on Sunday. She scored 13 of her 28 points in the fourth quarter to lift Connecticut to the 92-84 triumph.

Connecticut cruised to a 20-point victory over Seattle in its previous game. The win over the Mystics was more of a grind.

Thomas also had a major role in the victory with 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Chicago will be seeking a little payback after losing to the Sun 96-72 on June 25. Bonner scored 26 points in that game, while Thomas recorded a triple-double with 14 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds.

The Sky (8-11) look to end a two-game slide in the final game for both teams prior to the All-Star break. Both of those losses came at the hands of Atlanta, most recently on Sunday, when the Dream recorded an 88-77 win.

Kahleah Copper led Chicago with 28 points. Late turnovers led to the Sky’s demise.
