Milwaukee Holds 18th, 33rd and 54th Overall Selections to Open 2023 First-Year Player Draft
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers will make three selections on the first day of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, which begins Sunday, July 9 at 6 p.m. CT at Lumen Field in Seattle as part of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Week.
Broadcast live on MLB Network and ESPN, the first day of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft includes the first and second rounds, Competitive Balance rounds A and B, compensatory pick rounds and prospect promotion incentive picks. The Brewers hold the 18th (first round), 33rd (Competitive Balance Round A) and 54th (second round) selections on Sunday.
The Brewers have four players ranked in MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospects, including 2021 first-round pick (15th overall) outfielder Sal Frelick and 2022 second-round selection (63rd overall) right-handed pitcher Jacob Misiorowski.
The 2023 First-Year Player Draft resumes on MLB.com on Monday, July 10 at 1 p.m. CT with rounds 3-10. Rounds 11-20 will be held Tuesday, July 11 at 1 p.m. CT on MLB.com.
