WNBA Preview: Las Vegas Aces (16-1) at Dallas Wings (8-9)

The Las Vegas Aces will look for their 10th straight victory on Friday night when they conclude a home-and-home series against host the Dallas Wings in Arlington, Texas.

The Aces recorded an 89-82 victory in Las Vegas on Wednesday to remain the WNBA’s only undefeated team at home (10-0). Las Vegas (16-1) received 28 points from Jackie Young in the victory but had to come back from an early 14-point deficit.

A’ja Wilson collected 22 points and 13 rebounds, Chelsea Gray scored 20 points and Alysha Clark added 10 points for the Aces.

Las Vegas played without Kelsey Plum, who was dealing with an illness.

Dallas led by nine points at halftime and by two starting the fourth quarter. The lead switched hands several times before the Aces went in front for good.

Las Vegas’ lone loss of the season was a 94-77 setback to the Connecticut Sun on June 8.

Natasha Howard recorded a season-best 32 points on Wednesday for the Wings (8-9), who fell to 2-7 on the road.

Teaira McCowan added 14 points and 11 rebounds for her second straight double-double. Arike Ogunbowale contributed 12 points, albeit none in the second half. She made just 5 of 20 shots from the floor.

Star forward Satou Sabally finished with nine points while being limited to just 18 minutes due to an illness. She did not play in the second half.
