The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have selected the contract of left-handed pitcher Fernando Abad from Triple-A Albuquerque and have optioned right-handed pitcher Peter Lambert to Triple-A. Additionally, infielder Connor Kaiser was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster.
Abad will wear #60.
