ANAHEIM, Calif. – Prior to tonight’s series opener at Los Angeles-AL, the Chicago White Sox recalled outfielder Adam Haseley from Class AAA Charlotte and optioned infielder José Rodríguez to Class AA Birmingham.
Haseley, 27, is hitting .277/.365/.431 (38-137) with nine doubles, four home runs, 14 RBI and 21 runs scored over 35 games with Charlotte this season. He batted .222 (8-36) with two doubles, two RBI and six runs scored over 26 games in his first stint with the White Sox from April 16-May 27.
Rodríguez, 22, played in one game with the Sox after being recalled from Birmingham on June 19, scoring the game-ending run as a pinch-runner on June 20 vs. Texas. He is hitting .238/.274/.429 (45-189) with nine doubles, nine home runs, 25 RBI and 26 runs scored over 44 games with Birmingham this season.
