The New York Liberty and Atlanta Dream meet for the third time in two weeks on Friday night in a series that has favored the road team so far.
New York won 106-83 at Atlanta on June 9, while the Dream topped the Liberty in Brooklyn 86-79 four nights later.
Both teams are in a good stretch with New York (7-3) and Atlanta (5-6) both winning three of their last four games.
New York has played its last two games, including the loss to Atlanta, without Sabrina Ionescu, who was nursing a hamstring injury.
Ionescu is expected to return to the lineup against Atlanta after practicing this week following Sunday’s 89-71 win over the visiting Phoenix Mercury.
Breanna Stewart, who made 1 of 14 field-goal attempts in New York’s loss to Atlanta, scored 23 points in the first half on Sunday as the Liberty built a 53-34 lead.
She finished with 28 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists.
Atlanta’s three-game winning streak on the road against the Liberty, Connecticut Sun and Indiana Fever was snapped on Tuesday with an 85-73 loss at the Dallas Wings. That game included a WNBA-record 10 technical fouls (four against the Dream).
Allisha Gray was a significant reason why Atlanta won three straight on the road, averaging 22.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in the wins over the Liberty, Sun and Fever.
She was held to points on 3-of-11 shooting from the field against the Wings.
