MLS Preview: Charlotte FC (6-8-4) at New York Red Bulls (4-6-7)

The three MLS meetings between the New York Red Bulls and Charlotte FC have been split, with each team winning at home last year and the sides playing to a 1-1 draw in Charlotte FC on March 25 of this season. Elias Manoel scored all three goals for the New York Red Bulls in three meetings, his only three MLS goals.

Patrick Agyemang’s 89th-minute equalizer for Charlotte FC against the Seattle Sounders FC on June 10 came on the end of a 21-pass move. it was the third goal Charlotte FC has scored after a build-up of 20 or more passes in its MLS history, more than any other team since it joined the league last year.
