CHICAGO WHITE SOX NOTES:

WHITE SOX AT A GLANCE
The Chicago White Sox have won eight of their last 14 games and 18 of 32 as they conclude a six-game trip this afternoon with the finale at Seattle.

RHP Lance Lynn is scheduled to start for the White Sox, who are in third place in the American League Central, 2.0 games behind Cleveland and 5.5 behind division-leading Minnesota.

The Sox are 2-3 on the trip, splitting the first two games of this series after losing two of three at Dodger Stadium … the last three games have been decided by one run, including a pair of 11-inning contests.

Following today’s game, the White Sox return home for six games in seven days vs. Texas (6/19-21) and Boston (6/23-25).

The Sox went 1-2 on their last homestand vs. Miami from 6/9-11 and 2-1 on their last trip to New York-AL from 6/6-8.

TODAY’S STORYLINES
Lance Lynn is 4-1 with a 1.93 ERA (9 ER/42.0 IP), 52 strikeouts and a .182 (27-148) opponents average in seven career starts against Seattle … in his last start on 9/5/22 at T-Mobile Park, Lynn allowed one run on three hits with 11 strikeouts over 7.0 IP.

The White Sox have gone 18-14 (.563) since 5/13, tied with Baltimore for the fifth-best record in the American League and the best in the AL Central … during that span, they own a 3.08 ERA (98 ER/286.2 IP), the best mark in MLB (see box at right).

Sox pitchers lead MLB in June with a 2.69 ERA (38 ER/127.0 IP) and have not allowed more than six runs in any game during the month.

The White Sox are 52-35 against the Mariners since 2010, including a 24-18 record at T-Mobile Park.

The Sox have hit 10 home runs in the last four games, but nine of the 10 have been solo shots, including seven in a row.

YESTERDAY’S RECAP
Zach Remillard came off the bench to go 3-3 with a walk and two RBI in his major-league debut, including the game-winning single in the 11th inning, as the White Sox rallied for a 4-3 victory over Seattle.

Remillard, who replaced Tim Anderson (shoulder) in the fourth, walked in the fifth, dropped a bunt single in the seventh for his first hit, and delivered a game-tying RBI single in the ninth and a go-ahead single with two outs in the 11th.

Gregory Santos (2.0 IP), Keynan Middleton (1.2), Aaron Bummer (1.0) and Jesse Scholtens (1.0) combined for 6.0 hitless IP in relief, with Bummer earning his second win and Scholtens his first MLB save.

Lucas Giolito posted a ND, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits with three walks and five strikeouts over 5.0 IP.

Andrew Benintendi recorded a season-high four hits from the leadoff slot, going 4-5 with a double, walk, run scored and stolen base … Eloy Jiménez hit a solo homer (No. 8), Gavin Sheets hit a pair of doubles, and Elvis Andrus scored two runs.

The Sox recorded their 19th comeback win of the season and improved to 4-5 in extra-innings games … they limited Seattle to 2-14 with RISP.
