  • Got his fourth win of the season in his last start against the White Sox on June 13, tossing six scoreless innings of on two hits, two walks while punching out six
  • 2022 All-Star tossed his first win of the season on May 14th against San Diego after firing five scoreless innings and giving up two hits, one walk, and tying a season-high six strikeouts

LAST TIME OUT
Shouldered his second loss of the campaign after surrendering 6 earned runs on 8 hits, both career-highs, to a formidable Padres lineup on June 13 at Petco Park (4.0IP, 8H, 6R/ER 2HR, 2BB, 3SO)…allowed San Diego to get on the board in the 1st frame with a Xander Bogaerts sacrifice fly and a 3-run home run to Gary Sanchez, ballooning the Friars lead to 4-0…Fernando Tatis Jr. extended the lead to 5-0 with a solo shot of his own in the 2nd frame…Bibee retired 6 of his next 8 batters faced before a Xander Bogaerts RBI-double gave San Diego a 6-2 lead, concluding the rookie’s day…marked Bibee’s first start allowing multiple home runs.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Despite his early struggles with the Padres on Tuesday, Bibee is still holding hitters to a .181 (13-for-72) average with 23 of his 45 strikeouts coming the first time through an opposing team’s lineup…opposing clubs are .246 (16-for-55) when facing the rookie a second time through the order and hitting .324 (11-for-34) the third time through the order…he owns a 3.33 ERA (10ER/27IP) in the first 3 innings, compared to a 4.64 (11ER/21.1IP) mark in the 4th through 8th frames.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
Through 4 starts on the road, the right-hander owns a 5.75 ERA (13ER/20.1IP) with opposing hitters batting .305 (25-for-82) against him…while at home, he boasts a 2.57 ERA (8ER/28.0IP) and is holding opposing batters to a .206 (21-for-102) average… he’s walked 7 batters in 20.1 innings on the road, amounting to a 7.6% walk rate compared to a 6.3% mark at home…is allowing 11.07 hits-per-9.0 innings away from Progressive Field while allowing just 6.75 at home…4 of the 5 home runs he’s given up have come on the road.
