OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s placed right-handed pitcher Dany Jiménez on the 15-day injured list retroactive to April 17 with a strained right shoulder and recalled right-handed pitcher Adam Oller from Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today.
Jiménez was on the A’s Opening Day roster and had a save and a 5.40 ERA in seven relief appearances. He allowed four runs on four hits and six walks in 4.2 innings while striking out four.
Oller was on the A’s Opening Day roster and compiled a 9.00 ERA and .320 opponents batting average in three games, including one start, when he was optioned to Las Vegas on Friday. He logged 4.2 innings and 5.0 innings in relief in his first two outings before allowing seven runs on eight hits in 2.1 innings in a start at Baltimore last Thursday. Oller did not pitch in a game with the Aviators following his option.
