The Philadelphia Union scored a 90th-minute winner in a 1-0 victory over the Chicago Fire at Subaru Park on March 11, Philadelphia’s eighth win in its last nine home matches against the Chicago Fire in all competitions. The Philadelphia Union have managed just two wins in their last 11 visits to Chicago dating back to 2014, however (D3 L6).

The Chicago Fire’s 2-1 win over Minnesota United FC on Saturday took them to nine points through six matches this year (W1 D3 L2), equaling their total from this stage last year. A win over the Philadelphia Union would give Chicago 12 points through seven games, a total it hasn’t achieved since 2008 (16 points through 7 games).

The Philadelphia Union have collected just one point from their last four regular season matches (D1 L3), their worst four-match span in a single season since March-April 2018. The Philadelphia Union have lost four straight regular season road matches for the first time since a six-match run in 2017-18.

Kei Kamara scored both goals in the Chicago Fire’s win Saturday at Solider Field, his 91st and 92nd goals in home matches in his career. Kamara has now scored more goals in home matches than any other player in MLS history, doing so with 10 different teams, surpassing Chris Wondolowski’s 91 (all with San Jose Earthquakes).

The Philadelphia Union (at Atlas on Wednesday) have lost their weekend match following each of their last two Concacaf Champions League matches. Prior to that, the Philadelphia Union had played the weekend following a Concacaf Champions League match six times and lost just once (W4 D1 L1).
