APRIL 8, 2023 – ANAHEIM 4 vs. COLORADO 5 OT
The Ducks overcame a two-goal deficit to earn a point for the second straight game in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Colorado Avalanche 5- 4 Sunday evening at Honda Center. Frank Vatrano scored his 21st and 22nd goals of the season, giving him a new single-season career-high in points (22-19=41). He surpassed his prior high set in 2018-19 with Florida (24-15=39). He now co-leads Anaheim in goals with three other skaters (Adam Henrique, Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras). His 41 points are the most by a Ducks skater in their debut season with the team since Ryan Kesler in 2014-15 (20-27=47). Trevor Zegras earned his 40th assist and 62nd point of the season, surpassing his career-high in points set last season. Zegras is the first Ducks player since Ryan Getzlaf in 2017-18 (11-50=61) to record 40 assists in a season. Adam Henrique netted his third goal in two games, moving him into a tie for the team lead in goals. Ryan Strome recorded his third assist the past two games (1-3=4), his 25th of the campaign and his fourth consecutive 40-point effort and fifth of his career (15-25=40). Cam Fowler picked up his 36th assist of the season, extending his career-high in helpers. Troy Terry extended his single-season career-high in assists with his 36th. Brett Leason scored the Ducks fourth goal of the game, his sixth of the season at 7:25 of the third period. Derek Grant tallied his third assist in two games. Kevin Shattenkirk and Jayson Megna each earned assists. Drew Helleson made his NHL debut, skating in 13:30 TOI. Lukas Dostal stopped 41 shots, his third game with 40-plus saves this season.

TONIGHT’S GAME: The Anaheim Ducks hit the midway point of a three-game homestand to close the 2022-23 season schedule tonight vs. the Vancouver Canucks at Honda Center (7 p.m. PT, TV: Bally Sports SoCal, AUDIO: Ducks Stream). Anaheim continues its seven-game April schedule, the final contests remaining on the 2022-23 schedule, with two home contests on the calendar.
