March 25, 2023 – CALGARY FLAMES [5] vs. SAN JOSE SHARKS [3]
The Flames welcomed the San Jose Sharks to the Scotiabank Saddledome for a matinee game on Saturday afternoon. Calgary jumped out in front just under five minutes into the contest with MacKenzie Weegar ripping home his fourth of the season to give the Flames the lead. Tyler Toffoli would double the Flames advantage shortly after with his 30th of the season, and second 30-goal campaign of his career. San Jose would draw within one before the end of the first, and then score two more early in the second to take a 3-2 lead. Just 25 seconds after San Jose claimed their first lead, Walker Duehr scored his fifth to tie the game again, and it stayed that way through 40 minutes of play. Nazem Kadri would make it goals in back-to-back games with his 23rd just under six minutes into the final frame, and that would end up being the game winner as Toffoli added an empty netter to give the Flames a 5-3 victory.
