HURRICANES vs. LIGHTNING SERIES NOTES
— Carolina is facing Tampa Bay in the third and final meeting between the teams during the 2022-23 season.

— The Hurricanes and Lightning are meeting for the 141st time in their regular-season histories. Carolina holds a 62-56-10-12 overall record, including a 38-23-7-3 home record.

— Carolina leads the season series 2-0-0 in 2022-23 (Tampa Bay: 0-1-1), and the team is one win shy of posting just the second season sweep of the Lightning since relocation (2008-09: 6-0-0).

— The Hurricanes earned a 4-3 shootout win over the Lightning at Amalie Arena on 11/3. Seth Jarvis, Martin Necas and Brady Skjei scored in regulation before Teuvo Teravainen and Sebastian Aho scored in the shootout. Frederik Andersen made 23 saves in net and stopped five of six shootout attempts to register the win.
