Giroux paced the way for the home side with his third three-point game of the season (two goals, one assist). DeBrincat opened the scoring for the Senators to become Ottawa’s fifth 40-point scorer this season while Joseph (with his second shorthanded goal of the year) and Brassard also found the back of the net. Holden provided two helpers to realize his first multi-assist game of the season. Montembeault made 31 saves to take the loss for Montreal.
