The Ducks completed their six-game road trip with a 5-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche Thursday night at Ball Arena. The Ducks overcame a 3-1 deficit to snap Colorado’s six-game win streak and earn their fourth third period, multi-goal comeback win of the season, the most among all NHL teams. Anaheim went 3-2-1, earning points in four of six games, on the season-long six-game road trip. Frank Vatrano scored the third hat trick of his career (3-0=3) and the first by a Duck this season (last: Troy Terry, Jan. 2, 2022 vs. PHI; 3-0=3). Vatrano has scored five goals in his past five games (5-1=6). Cam Fowler earned two assists (0-2=2), his second straight multi-point game, and recorded a career high +4 rating for the second straight game (also Jan. 24 @ ARI & Apr. 1, 2022 vs. ARI). ANAHEIM DUCKS NOTES
TONIGHT’S GAME: The Anaheim Ducks return home to face the Arizona Coyotes for their final game prior to the NHL’s All-Star break tonight at Honda Center (7:30 p.m. PT, TV: Bally Sports West AUDIO: Ducks Stream). The Ducks enter tonight’s contest with wins in back-to-back games while scoring five goals in each of those two contests in addition to 3-1-0 the last four games (18 goals, 4.5 goals per game). Anaheim is 3-2-1 their last six games coming off a season-long six-game road trip where the club earned points in four of the six contests. Tonight, Anaheim concludes a 13-game January schedule (5-6-1), consisting of seven home and six road contests. All-time, Anaheim is 167-146-38 in the month of January.
