CALGARY FLAMES NOTES:

FLAMES LAST GAME RECAP
JANUARY 16, 2023 – CALGARY FLAMES [1] vs. NASHVILLE PREDATORS [2]
The Calgary Flames finished off a five-game Central Division road trip on Monday night in Nashville. The Predators would open the scoring just before the halfway mark of the first frame with a Roman Josi point shot taking a deflection and finding the twine to give the Predators a 1-0 lead. Nashville would extend their lead shortly after with Juuso Parssinen poking home his fifth of the year to make it 2-0 heading into the intermission. It would take almost the entire second period for another goal, and it would come courtesy of Nikita Zadorov who tied his career-high in goals with his seventh of the season to cut the Flames deficit to one heading into the third. Tyler Toffoli thought he had scored to tie the game, but after review, the goal was called back for a kicking motion. Calgary would go on to outshoot Nashville 21-5 in the third, but Juuse Saros was equal to the task, and the Predators held on for a 2-1 win.
