The home side saw goals from Neighbours and Acciari (both in the opening period) while Stützle recorded his third career goal against St. Louis in his third career game at 13:52 of the middle stanza. The marker allowed him to join Tkachuk with 40 points on the campaign, the first pair of Ottawa skaters to both reach the mark in 40 games or less since 2018-19. Binnington earned the win for the Blues in making 32 saves while Talbot took the loss for Ottawa by way of turning aside 18 shots.
