Led by veterans Jamie Benn (1-2—3) and Tyler Seguin (0-2—2), the Stars opened a four-game homestand with a 5-2 victory over the New York Islanders in front of a sellout crowd of 18,532 at American Airlines Center on Saturday. Dallas erased two separate one-goal deficits and broke open a 2-2 tie with three unanswered goals in the third period to lift its record this season to 11-5-2 (24 points) – tops in the Central Division. - Robertson ranks second in even-strength goals (5), shares fourth in power-play points (3-4—7; also Benn), is tied for fifth in assists (9; also Benn) and ranks third in shots on goal (44).
- Not to be overlooked, defenseman Esa Lindell ranks third among NHL blueliners in plus-minus (+10) since Nov. 1, while blueliner Miro Heiskanen (0-9—9) shares 10th among NHL rearguards in points.
MAN ON A MISSION
- Forward Jason Robertson extended his career-long point streak to 11 consecutive games with a goal (1-0—1) on Nov. 19
- Robertson has earned 20 points (10-10—20) over that span, which is tied for the third longest point streak in Dallas Stars history (1993-present). It’s also the fifth longest point streak in franchise history (1963-present) and the longest since Patrick Sharp’s 12-game run during the 2015-16 season.
- Robertson has goals in nine of his 11 games on his current point streak and has seven multi-point efforts over that span.
- Among league leaders, the 23-year-old shares third in goals (12), ranks sixth in points (12-15—27) and shares 13th in assists (15). He also co-leads the NHL in game-winning goals (3), shares sixth in even-strength points (8-9—17) and eighth in points-per-game average (1.50), and is tied for 13th in power-play points (4-6—10).
- He had goals in six consecutive games from Oct. 27-Nov. 8, becoming the fifth player in franchise history (1967-present) to have a goal streak of six games or more before turning 24, and the second player in Dallas Stars history (1993-present) to do so. Robertson followed Neal Broten from Jan. 23-Feb. 4, 1982 (7-12—19 in 7 GP), Jamie Benn from March 1-11, 2011 (6-1—7 in 6 GP), Mike Modano from Feb. 29-March 10, 1992 (7-2—9 in 6 GP) and Danny Grant from Oct. 16-29, 1969 (6-1—7 in 6 GP).
- The Arcadia, California native is averaging better than a point-per-game pace through his four NHL seasons (70-82—152 in 146 GP).
GO ON AHEAD, I’LL MEET YOU THERE
- Forward Roope Hintz saw his career-best 10-game point streak come to an end on Nov. 19 when he missed his first game of the season with a lower-body injury.
- Hintz tallied 15 points (6-9—15) over his 10-game point streak, including four multi-point efforts.
- With two goals on his 26th birthday on Nov. 17, Hintz became just the second player in franchise history (1963-present) to score multiple goals on his birthday (also Dave Gagner, Dec. 11, 1990).
- Hintz ranks second on the Stars in assists (14) and points (8-14—22) and shares third in goals (8). He also ranks third in power-play points (1-6—7) and is one of four players on the Stars to have shorthanded goals this season (also Radek Faksa, Luke Glendening and Joel Kiviranta).
- The Tampere, Finland native also ranks second on the club in points per game (1.29) and ranks third with a +12 rating.
- Hintz and Robertson became the third pair of Stars/North Stars teammates with simultaneous 10-game point streaks, joining Brian Bellows and Neal Broten (10 GP from Jan. 23-Feb. 13, 1986) as well as Steve Payne and Bobby Smith (10 GP from Feb. 10-28, 1980).
I GOT A FIRE IN MY EYE, A LITTLE BLOOD ON MY SHIRT
- Captain Jamie Benn recorded his third three-point game of the season on Saturday against New York (1-2—3).
- Benn enters Saturday’s matchup riding a five-game point streak (4-5—9) and has points in eight of his past nine overall (8-9—17).
- Of his eight goals in November, six have come at even strength – the most in the league.
- Benn recorded the 45th multi-goal game of his NHL career on Nov. 11 vs. San Jose and moved within two of tying Bill Goldsworthy (47) for fourth place on the Stars/North Stars franchise’s all-time list.
- With a hat trick (3-0—3) against the Oilers on Nov. 5, Benn (333) surpassed Dino Ciccarelli (332) for sole possession of third place among franchise leaders (1967-present) in goals.
- In addition, Benn (7) trails only Ciccarelli (14) and Bill Goldsworthy (8) for the most three-goal outings in Stars/North Stars franchise history (1967-present). Note: Mike Modano also had seven hat tricks with the Stars/North Stars franchise.
- Among team leaguers, the 33-year-old shares third in goals (8) and assists (12) and ranks fourth in points (8-12—20) in 18 GP.
- He also ranks second on the club in faceoff wins (107), faceoffs taken (181) and faceoff win percentage (59.1%).
MOVIN’ ON UP
- With his first of two assists (0-2—2) on Saturday vs. New York, forward Tyler Seguin recorded career point No. 700, becoming the first player from the 2010 NHL Draft to reach the 700-point mark.
- Seguin leads the 2020 draft class in both points (309-392—701) and goals (309) and ranks fifth with a +63 rating. He also leads the class with 55 game-winning goals and ranks third with nine overtime markers.
- Seguin ranks 28th among all active skaters in career points, having played in fewer games (843) than all but one player ranked above him.
- Seguin’s multi-point performance on Saturday gave him four points (1-3—4) in his past two games and 15 points (4-11—15) in 18 games overall this season.
BREAK A WINDOW AND BUST A WALL
- Forward Mason Marchment extended his point streak to three consecutive games with a goal and an assist (1-1—2) on Saturday against the Islanders. He also matched his career high for shots in a game (7) done once before (March 31 vs. Chicago w/ Florida).
- Marchment has two goals and four points (2-2—4) in his past three games, including a +4 rating.
- Among team leaders, Marchment ranks eighth overall and fourth among forwards in hits (22).
- The 27-year-old ended a six-game goal drought with his fifth tally of the season on Nov. 15 at Tampa Bay.
- Marchment has appeared in all 18 games with Dallas and has registered 12 points (6-6—12).
- Marchment opened the scoring 2:31 into his Dallas debut on Oct. 13 at Nashville, the fourth-fastest goal by a Stars/North Stars player from the start of their franchise debut, behind Bob Barlow (1:08 on Oct. 11, 1969), Mattias Janmark (1:39 on Oct. 8, 2015) and Warren Peters (2:22 on Nov. 21, 2009).
- He became the seventh player in franchise history to score multiple goals in his Stars/North Stars debut, following Mark Parrish (3 G on Nov. 7, 2008), Fabian Brunnstrom (3 G on Oct. 15, 2008), Jaromir Jagr (2 G on Jan. 19, 2013), Dave Archibald (2 G on Oct. 10, 1987), Marc Habscheid (2 G on Jan. 27, 1986) and Jean Potvin (2 G on Nov. 1, 1978).
- Marchment signed a four-year contract with the Stars on July 13.

- Defenseman Esa Lindell enters Monday’s matchup with the fourth-best plus-minus rating among NHL blueliners at +13.
- Lindell is +6 combined over his past two games and +9 in his past five.
- The 6-foot-3, 220-pound blueliner ranks second among Stars defensemen with eight points (2-6—8) in 18 games.
- Lindell also ranks second on the club in hits (33) and third in blocked shots (24).
- The 28-year-old matched a career-high with three points (1-2—3) on Nov. 13 at Philadelphia.
IT IS EXCITING RECITING THE STORY
- Rookie defenseman Nils Lundkvist scored a highlight reel goal in Dallas’ victory over Florida on Nov. 17.
- It marked his first goal with the Stars and the second tally of his young NHL career (also Dec. 8, 2021 vs. Colorado w/ New York Rangers).
- Through 18 games in 2022-23, the 22-year-old blueliner has set personal bests in assists (4) and points (1-4—5), eclipsing his point output last season with the Rangers (1-3—4) in 25 GP.
- Selected by the Rangers in the first round (28th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft, Lundkvist was acquired by the Stars for a conditional first-round selection in the 2023 NHL Draft and a conditional fourth-round selection in the 2025 NHL Draft on Sept. 19.
- He made his Stars debut and picked up his first point with the club (0-1—1) in the regular-season opener Nov. 13 at Nashville.
- Lundkvist ranks third among Dallas d-men in assists (4) and points (1-4—5) and ranks second among club blueliners in shots on goal (34).
I HEARD IT ONCE, I’M SURE I’VE HEARD IT TWICE
- With a goal on Nov. 15 against Tampa Bay, Joe Pavelski (430) took over sole possession of eighth place all-time in goals among U.S.-born skaters. The only active U.S.-born skater with more is Patrick Kane (433).
- Pavelski has seven multi-point games on the season and 43 since joining the Stars in 2019-20.
- Only two Stars have notched more multi-point games for the franchise than Pavelski over that span: Roope Hintz (46) and Jason Robertson (45).
- Pavelski has points (5-9—14) in eight of his past 10 games and 11 of 18 overall (9-12—21).
- Through 18 games this season, the Plover, Wisconsin native ranks second on the Stars in goals (9), shares third in assists (12) and ranks third in points (9-12—21).
