ROAD WARRIORS
The Panthers will face off against the Coyotes tonight for the first of a four-game western road trip. Colin White (2-4-6) and Matthew Tkachuk (3-3-6) have each produced at least one point over Florida’s first five road contests this season, one game shy of the longest such streak from a player’s first game of the season in franchise history (Johan Garpenlov, Oct. 5-27, 1996). Florida’s 37.8 shots on goal per game on the road ranked third among NHL teams prior to games played Oct. 31.

DESERT CATS
Florida has won each of their past three matchups against Arizona and own a 7-1-1 overall record against the Coyotes over their past nine matchups (since March 3, 2017). Last season, Sam Bennett (1-2-3), Sam Reinhart (1-2-3) and Patric Hornqvist (1-2-3) each produced three points over two games against the Coyotes, with Spencer Knight and Sergei Bobrovsky each earning one win. Tonight’s game will mark Florida’s first visit to Mullett Arena.

The assist marked his team-leading 10th point of the campaign, and he also paces the club with four goals through Florida’s first eight games. Only three players required fewer games to reach the 10-point mark with the franchise per NHL PR: Pavel Bure (6 GP in 1998-99), Sam Bennett (7 GP in 2020-21) and Jonathan Marchessault (7 GP in 2016-17).
