TONIGHT’S GAME: The Anaheim Ducks return home for the first time in two weeks as they host the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at Honda Center (7 p.m. PT, TV: TNT, AUDIO: Ducks Stream). Anaheim owns an all-time record of 1,022-875-302, including 575-378-145 at home and 447-497-156 away from Orange County. Anaheim’s nine-game October schedule includes three home and six road contests, with the team 1-4-1 to begin the season and 121-134-44 in the month all-time. Dmitry Kulikov enters tonight’s game one point shy of 200 career NHL points (42-157=199). Following tonight’s game, the Ducks will visit the Vegas Golden Knights Friday, Oct. 28 at T-Mobile Arena in a matinee contest (3 p.m. PT).

TERRY TALK: Right Wing Troy Terry leads Anaheim in points (3-4=7), co-leads in goals and ranks second in assists. He is on pace with last season’s point total through six games, where he produced 2-5=7 points. Terry scored goals in each of Anaheim’s first two games in 2022-23, recording 3-1=4 points, tied for the second-most goals through the first two games by an Anaheim player, trailing only Daniel Winnik’s four goals Jan. 19-21, 2013 (4-1=5). Troy Terry became the first Ducks player in franchise history to record six points through the team’s first three games to begin a season (3-3=6). He trailed only Teemu Selanne (4-6=10 in 1996-97) for the most points through Anaheim’s first four games to begin a season.

FEATURING FOWLER: Defenseman Cam Fowler ranks seventh among all NHL players and has led Anaheim in TOI each of the first six games this season, logging 25:19 TOI/game to date. His 27.2 shifts per game also pace the club. In 2021-22, Fowler led Anaheim in TOI/game (24:25) while he led the Ducks in shifts per game the last two seasons: 2021-22 (27.4) and 2020-21 (27.3).

M(A)C ATTACK: Rookie Mason McTavish has picked up four assists (three primary) through Anaheim’s first six games in 2022-23. McTavish leads the Ducks in primary assists and co-leads in assists, while he leads NHL rookies in primary assists (3), and ranks second in assists (0-4=4) and tied for second in points (0-4=4). Through six games this season, McTavish has already surpassed his 1-2=3 points in nine games with Anaheim last season.

GENERATION Z: Center Trevor Zegras has recorded 3-1=4 points through six games this season, co-leading the Ducks in goals. Through six games last season, Zegras had yet to record a point while in 2020-21 he had recorded one assist through his first six NHL games.

FRANK THE TANK: Right wing Frank Vatrano has begun his Ducks career with three goals in six games, the most goals he has scored through his first five games in a season (prior 2; last: 2018-19 w/ FLA and 2016-17 w/ BOS). Vatrano currently co-leads Anaheim in goals (also Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras) while he set career highs in goals (24) with the Panthers in 2018-19.

DUCKS-LIGHTNING: Anaheim and Tampa Bay open a two-game series tonight at Honda Center. All-time, the Ducks have posted a 19-17-4 record head-to-head vs. the Lightning, including a 10-8-2 mark in Anaheim. The Ducks have earned points in six of the last 10 matchups at Honda Center dating to 2009-10, posting a 5-4-1 mark while eight of the 10 games have been decided by one goal. Anaheim earned points in each of the two matchups vs. the Lightning in 2021-22, including a 5-1 win Jan. 21 at Honda Center and a 4-3 OT loss, Apr. 24 at Amalie Arena. THE WORM RETURN: Tampa Bay right wing Corey Perry returns to Honda Center where he spent 14 seasons as a Duck (2005-19) after being selected 28th overall by Anaheim in 2003. Among all-time Ducks leaders, Perry leads in PIM (1,110), ranks second in goals (372) and appearances (988), third in points (776), assists (404), PPG (103) and plus/minus (+76). Perry helped the Ducks to a Stanley Cup in 2007, and became the first player in franchise history to win the Hart Memorial Trophy (MVP) and the second to earn the Rocket Richard Trophy after leading the league with a career high 50 goals. Perry led Anaheim in goals six straight seasons (2010-11 to 2015-16) and in eight seasons overall (also 2007-08 & 2008-09), while he paced the club in points twice (2009-10: 27-49=76 and 2010-11: 50-48=98).
