CF Montreal is unbeaten in 10 straight at home against the Red Bulls, including winning the last six in a row (including playoffs). The six straight losses are the most for the Red Bulls at a single opponent since an eight-game losing run at New England from 2004-07.
CF Montreal extended its unbeaten to eight straight games (W6 D2) with a 2-0 win at Chicago on Saturday. The eight games unbeaten and 20 points from eight games both equal club records, both set earlier this season, in March-May.
The Red Bulls have been the best away team in MLS this season, collecting a league-high 27 points on their travels, including going unbeaten in five straight on the road (W3 D2). A victory over Montreal would make New York the 11th team in MLS history to record 30 away points in a single season.
Romell Quioto scored his 15th goal of 2022, in Montreal’s win on Saturday. Quioto has scored six times in his last four games, scoring at least once in each game. Quioto is the fourth player in Montreal’s MLS history to score in at least four straight games, though only Ignacio Piatti in 2017 did so in five straight.
Lewis Morgan scored his team-high 12th goal of the season in the Red Bulls’ win over Miami on Saturday. Morgan hasn’t gone more than two consecutive games without a goal since scoring against Orlando on April 24, including finding the net in two of his last three appearances.
